I also used the gas-n stainless pipes, but they were only quieter at idle. Since then they have started using longer mufflers, so i will exclude that data.
Hope this helps. The sweet-thunder pipes are the ones that i stuck with. They are great and only caused a small hp loss. The chambered insert that he replaced the glasspack with really made a huge difference in the tone of the exhuast. The pipes now sound like my 1965 Corvette sidepipes, or at least close to them.
