Last year SCRAMP took charge of the Historics from Steve Earle.  They changed the name to the Reunion (kind of like Searspoint to Infineon, but let’s not go there.  The changes all seemed to work and the one that effected us the most worked great.  Our Corral was in the same place 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Per Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca: The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a celebration of motorsports history that reunites authentic race cars with a world-class track.  The 2011 event will be August 19 -21

Truly a week-long social happening up and down the Monterey Peninsula, vehicles from every corner of the globe converge on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and allow race fans young and old to see motor racing as it once was. Jaguar is this year’s featured marquee and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E-Type

Nor Cal has a limited number of tickets and Club corral parking passes for members purchasing their Saturday entry ticket through the club.  Admission price to attend the races at Laguna Seca on Saturday, August 20, will be $75.00 per person.  I know it’s more expensive but SCRAMP is including a schedule, a poster and dash plaque in our price this year(which will be handed out at the event).  Members wishing to attend the races on Friday, August 19 or Sunday, August 21 can buy their tickets at the gate (a really bad idea) or if you hurry, contact Laguna directly and pay the advanced pricing. (1-800-327-SECA or www.mazdaraceway.com)

The corral pass is mailed out with your Saturday admission ticket, if you plan on attending Friday and/or Sunday and parking in the Club parking corral let me know so I have a count and can be ready. See the form below.

Friday is practice and qualifying.  Saturday starts the racing and 7A “Our Guys” will be out there.  If you come on Sunday you will be treated to the CanAm cars.

Cars must be in popular car show condition, be of a performance nature and have a Blue Oval lineage (that means FORD in case some GM guy is reading this). The corral is located on the leftover asphalt and hard pack that makes up the no longer used and very much missed Turn 3, but now is a great viewing area named 'The Andretti Hairpin'. Send in your ticket order and payment ASAP, and make sure your phone number and correct mailing address is enclosed. Also, we'll need to know which car you'll be gracing us with. Space is limited - first come first served.

Again, if you plan to attend on Friday and/or Sunday and wish to park your show car in the Club corral, please be sure to make a note of that with your entry. (Again – Friday and Sunday tickets must be purchased separately through Laguna Seca).
