Corkscrew Invitational
Laguna Seca Sept 18/19
The Corkscrew Invitational is a rare opportunity to run this famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca course, with no sound restrictions. You'll be part of an amazing array of cars and clubs, all with their own exclusive run group.
Joining the Shelby Club are:
**NCK Super Karts (led by Wayne Rainey and Eddie Lawson)
**BMWCCA Club Racing
**Porsche Racing Club
**A San Francisco exotic car dealer holding a customer event on track
**An advanced, invitational run group of Hooked On Driving customers.
The Shelby Club will have two 20 minute sessions, and a third session of 25 minutes PER DAY. The paddock will be marked out in groups so clubs can be together. Included in the registration fee is a participant BBQ on Saturday night in the paddock. You'll see during the registration process that you can purchase guest BBQ tix in advance. Please select shirt size (mandatory, as the Tshirt is included), then click on REGISTER, and proceed to get yourself set to run this awesome weekend. And the cost? Only $595 per car/driver! For the weekend!
Ground rules for the Shelby Club cars and drivers:
- Green or Blue group cars/drivers with at least a year of experience running with the club
- No Black Flag incidents in the past 12 months.
- This will be Exhibition race format, with no remote timing.
- Open Passing! But common sense must prevail. There are no prizes to be won!
- Car and driver approval will be at the discretion of Nor Cal SAAC and Hooked on Driving
- Priority will be given to Vintage Shelbys, Cobras and other Ford powered cars.
- Roll bars and 5 point harnesses required.
We need 30 cars minimum to have our personal grid. Otherwise Hooked on Driving reserves the right to backfill our group with overflow from the other race groups. Maximum number of cars for our grid is 50.
