Lewis B. Downs Jr. 8/21/41 - 8/19/2006

It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of Lewis Downs. He has departed for that great parking corral in heaven.

Lewis was battling cancer these past five years and putting up a fierce fight up to the end. He did not let his illness stop him from doing what he wanted to do. He was in Monterey for the Historics weekend, with his friends, going to the auctions, spending time at Pebble Beach, hobnobbing with the famous. On Saturday evening he decided to take a break and just rest in his room. It appears he simply laid down and never woke up.

Services are set for for 2:00 PM Saturday, Sept 9th at the Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Rd, Castro Valley, CA. 94546 (Phone: 510-581-9133)
